Once you have reviewed Summer Job Descriptions, please follow the process below to apply for Crew, Counselors and Support Staff.
STEP ONE: ONLINE APPLICATION
- Complete Online Staff Application
- Submit a Video Application (optional, see details below)
- All items needed to apply are included in the online form.
- Submit a Video Application (optional, see details below)
- Applications Due:
- Directors and Support Specialists: November 1, 2011
- Counselors and Crew: December 15, 2011
STEP TWO: INTERVIEW PROCESS
- Interviews will be a part of the hiring process. After applications have been reviewed, Glisson will contact applicants to set up an interview. (This is not a first-come, first-serve process.)
- Applicants will be updated concerning their application status.
- Summer Leadership Team applicants will be issued agreements by the end of December.
- Counselor & Crew applicants will receive status updates sometime in January. Interviews for these positions will begin by the end of January or early February and will be held at universities across the Southeast and at Glisson.
- Interviews are required (along with all other application steps) in order to receive a staff agreement.
STEP THREE: STAFF AGREEMENTS
After all interviews have taken place, staff agreements will be mailed out via email. Included with the Summer Staff Agreement will be several important hiring papers including:
- Staff Data Sheet
- (To be mailed with staff agreement)
- (To be mailed with staff agreement)
- Glisson Communication and Social Media Policy
- (You will be asked to “be-friend” Glisson on Facebook or other social media.)
Once all of these forms have been returned, then your Staff Agreement is complete. Send completed Application/Agreeement to:

Important Staff Dates
- Staff Application Form Posted: Oct. 1, 2011
- Leadership Team Apps Due: Nov. 1, 2011
- Counselor & Crew Apps due: Dec. 15, 2011
- Leadership Team Agreements: Mid-Dec.
- Summer Leadership Team Retreat: Jan. 5-7
- Staff Agreements mailed: after interviews
- Pre-Camp Training: Apr. 13-15, 2012
Optional: Video Application
The video application is not required. We know that many of you shine brighter on video than in writing (and vice versa).
- Video may be no longer than 2 minutes.
- Send in a CD/DVD or jump drive to the Glisson office. You will not recieve the CD/DVD or jump drive back.
- Must be submitted by December 15, 2011.
