Staff Training & Testing
Staff Training Information
For certain Summer Staff positions, additional training is required. If needed, these trainings are outlined in your staff contract. If your position does not require these trainings, but you are interested in becoming certified in these areas, email the Program Team or call the front office (706-864-6181).
Summer Training Dates
Staff Training (Arrival Time 4:00pm)
- Summer Leadership Team: May 14, 2012
- All Outpost Counselors: May __, 2012
- All Spwd Counselors: May 16, 2012
- All Village Counselors: May 18, 2012
Crew Training and Dates of Service:
Lifeguard Training:
Crew are expected to seek out and complete lifeguard training before arriving at Glisson

Glisson Lifeguards
Crew Lifeguards:
All Crew, even returning Crew from the year before, must have an up to date American Red Cross lifeguard certification. All Crew are expected to seek out and complete (on their own initiative) a certification course prior to arrival at Glisson.
