LIT Application Steps
1. 2011 Pastor Reference Form
This form must be filled out by your local pastor. You do not have to be a member of a North Georgia Conference Church, but we do want you to have this form filled out by the pastor of whatever church you attend. If you have any questions, please email the Program Team or call the front office (706-864-6181).
2. Cover Letter
The cover letter should include the following:
- Contact Name and Information
- Paragraph 1: This paragraph should tell us what position you are applying for and why you want to be a part of this program.
- Paragraph 2: This paragraph should tell us why you would be a good candidate for this position. Give specific examples please.
- Final Paragraph: Closing paragraph
3. Resume
List all the different areas of your life where you are a leader: clubs, teams, babysitting, church, peers, jobs, etc.
4. Parent/Guardian Letter
This letter is written by your parent/guardian describing why they want their son/daughter to be a part of the Glisson Leadership Program.
5. Reference Letter (x1-3)
Please include at least one but no more than three reference letters where an adult can comment on your leadership gifts. This letter needs to focus on your gifts as a leader not necessarily your leadership experience. Example: Don't just tell us that you have been a baby sitter before, we want to know what gifts make you a great baby-sitter.
6. Attend an Interview Event

Crew Application Steps
1. Personal Letter
This letter is written by the Crew applicant describing why he/she wants to be a part of the Leadership Program.
2. Parent/Guardian Letter
This letter is written by the parent/guardian describing why they want their son/daughter to be a part of the Leadership Program.
3. Resume
List all the different areas in your life where you are a leader: clubs, teams, baby sitting, church, peers etc. Be sure to include descriptions of where you are serving in your community and church.
4. References (x2)
Have a youth leader, coach, teacher, mentors or leaders like these write a letter that describes your character. You cannot use reference letters from previous years.
5. Attend an Interview Event
