Sparrowwood
Sparrowwood is an integral part of the Glisson Summer Camp experience designed especially for campers with mild to moderate disabilities. Campers are cared for by trained counselors with a one counselor to two campers ratio. Sparrowwood campers are a part of our Village resident program, enjoying most of the same activities that our Village campers do, and in many cases integrating with Village living groups. They enjoy multiple daily interactions with Village campers and staff, through meals, chapel, integration, free time, activities, and many other Village events. Outpost campers and staff have the privilege of inviting Sparrowwood to a barbeque dinner once a week--a favorite time for all who are there! Thus, Sparrowwood is not a separate aspect of camp, but rather a vital and cherished part of the Camp Glisson ministry.Sparrowwood's mission is to show God’s great love to all of our campers. In everything we do, we pray that each person involved--parents, caregivers, campers, and staff--will be touched by the beautiful love of God.
Camper Highlights:
Their counselors! Sparrowwood counselors receive specialized training on how to care for campers with a range of different disabilities. They are dedicated to keeping campers safe and involved in the many exciting activities each week.

Horse Program
The Horse Program is available during Weeks 3&7 for the Youth age group. During these weeks, campers will have the opportunity to ride trained horses under the supervision of a professional horse trainer. For questions, contact David Schnitzer (706-864-6181).
